Can I Get a Visa Through Regular Processes During World Cup?
NO! You Must Have Hayya Card
But Here’s Old, No Longer Applicable Info for World Cup visitors
According to the Emmydaz Travel Blog and verified on Visit Qatar, there are upwards of 85 countries that do not have to pay for a visa to visit Qatar as of August 2017. There are some slight differences as half the countries are allowed for 90 days and the other half is 30 days. Fortunately, the tournament is only 30 days so for someone wanting to stay the entire time and not need visa paperwork, you have a good likelihood.

Doing more research, the Hamad International Airport has great insight into securing visas and links out to Visit Qatar as well. Check out their site and an excerpt below of what we mean as this section even discusses how Qatar Airways may even be able to facilitate a visa!
Outside of this, there are many companies out there that will charge a nominal fee to make it easier on you to obtain the requisite visa. We are NOT one of them nor do we have relationships with any. Good luck!
Below is an image – you’ll need to visit the Hamad International Airport website for details and links.

Please, kindly assist persons with disabilities who my show interest to travel to Qatar to watch world cup matches to acquire traveling visa free of change or at at a reduce cost. Thank you in anticipation.
Hi Gyan! Thanks for checking out our site and your message! Regarding accessibility tickets, you’d be best served by reading the entire FAQ section that is officially put together by FIFA (https://fifa.powerappsportals.com/en-US/qatar2022/faq/category/?id=CAT-01065).
But from a general answer perspective, there is a “Category” of ticket reserved for those with disabilities. When tickets are open for sale again, you can certainly apply for this category level. This is where the FAQ page above will help. But once you have a ticket, you’ll be able to apply for your Hayya Card – which is free with a ticket. And you need a Hayya Card to also reserve accommodation. I hope this is helpful and that you find a way to make it to Qatar to support your team!
Your work is related to Politics, you like it or not.
When you don’t facilitate the trip visa to every good person no matter what the country is, then pardon me: you are INJUST.
Hi Ali – thanks for your comment! Please note that our site is in no way affiliated with Qatar or FIFA. We are a site that posts info/news related to traveling to the World Cup. Based on your comment, please note that a Hayya Card (Fan ID) is provided by Qatar/FIFA as long as you have a ticket to the game. Right now, you also need accommodation but we did see recently that a “Day Visit” will be possible as well – given you have a ticket – but there’s no news about that yet, to our knowledge. Once we see more information on the topic, we’ll do our best to post.
Work visa
Hi Mohamed! We are only knowledgeable of the visa/Fan ID process for the World Cup. For work visas (even if it is work related to the Cup), you certainly should go through the Qatari government sites – perhaps this is a good starting point: visitqatar.qa/en/plan-your-trip/visas – Good luck!

How do I get a visa to watch a game in Qatar at low cost?
Hi Iman!
Thanks for your question! If your country isn’t listed above, we have found that the Hamad International Aiport’s website offers great advice on visas! There’s even a clause in here that talks about how Qatar Airways itself can help facilitate a visa if you arrive into the country via their services. We are updating this article with details but here’s the website link.
Am from Nigeria and will love to watch 2022 FIFA world cup at Qatar but am finding it hard help me

Can i enter qatar with Israeli Passport?? To see workd cup
Hi Mohamed. Israel isn’t (currently) on the list of approved countries. It may be worth it to inquiry with any potential Israeli consulte that may exist in Doha. I can see in non-World Cup times that a tourist visa is needed. I found an unofficial site that speaks to this: https://checkvisa.net/qatar-visa-for-citizens-of-israel/. I would keep checking the links provided in the article for news on Israeli citizens being granted a free visa (https://www.visitqatar.qa/en/plan-your-trip/visas). Israel is off to a great start in qualifying for 2022!
