The Complete World Cup 2026 Fan Festival Guide

You don’t need a match ticket to experience the FIFA World Cup 2026. Across all host cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, official fan festivals and fan zones are being set up to broadcast matches live on giant screens, host live entertainment, showcase local food and culture, and give fans a place to gather regardless of whether they’re headed to the stadium. Most are free. Some have premium upgrades.

Note: If you’re in town for your country’s match then also check with your team’s official fan groups as many host gatherings, watch parties, etc. Additionally, the official Fan Fests / Zones aren’t the end all, be all. Finding an organic gathering at a bar, restaurant, etc can be equally as memorable and potentially more comfortable.

As information gets released, this post will get updated…

Atlanta Fan Fest

FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park

Atlanta’s fan festival is landing at one of the most symbolically loaded venues in the city. Centennial Olympic Park — built for the 1996 Summer Olympics — will mark its 30th anniversary by hosting the official FIFA Fan Festival, which makes it more than just a practical choice. It carries a little history with it.

The festival is open for 20 days, covering every match day and the day before each match (known as match day minus one), giving fans two-day windows to build around each game. It is free and open to the public, run in partnership with the City of Atlanta and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority.

Expect live match broadcasts, entertainment, food and beverage, and the kind of fan atmosphere that makes outdoor viewing an event in its own right.

Independent Fan Zone: Decatur WatchFest 26

Atlanta fans get a second option a few miles east. The City of Decatur is running its own 34-day fan festival — WatchFest 26 — at Decatur Square for the full tournament window (June 11 through July 19). Daily outdoor match screenings are planned, pending FIFA approval

Additionally, WatchFest will also have free live concerts (already announced: Big Boi on June 11, The Stews on June 15, Her Majesty’s Request on June 30 — Wave 1 concert tickets are already sold out, Wave 2 coming), and indoor WatchSpots at local restaurants and breweries.

The Decatur Square sits directly above the Decatur MARTA station, which is seven stops from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Easy in, easy out. In other words, you can navigate back and forth between Centennial Olympic Park & the Stadium and Decatur WatchFest all on public transit.

With WatchFest, Decatur’s hotel options and short-term rental options are absolutely worth a consideration due to its walkability, beauty, small-town feel and ease of public transit to and from the main action downtown.

Boston Fan Fest

City Hall Plaza

  • Dates: Up to 16 days in June 2026 (exact schedule TBD)
  • Location: City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA
  • Admission: Free
  • Official Fan Festival Info

Boston is putting its fan festival right in the heart of downtown — City Hall Plaza — which keeps it accessible via the MBTA and central to everything. The festival will run up to 16 days in June 2026, covering Boston’s match window, and is being delivered in partnership with the City of Boston and state partners. Live match broadcasts, interactive football activities, and a food and beverage program that puts a Boston spin on the usual tournament fare. Boston is also hosting a quarterfinal, which means this festival will be running deep into the knockout rounds.

Full schedule and programming details are expected to be announced in the coming months. Check the official site closer to the tournament.

Dallas Fan Fest

Fair Park

Fair Park is one of the more distinctive fan festival settings in the country — a 277-acre complex that is home to the State Fair of Texas and the world’s largest collection of Art Deco exhibit buildings. It is an enormous footprint with genuine character, and it sits right next to a light rail station with bars and restaurants spilling out onto the surrounding streets. Programmatic details and dates have not been fully announced yet, so check back as the tournament approaches.

Houston Fan Fest

EaDo (East Downtown)

  • Dates: Full tournament window (specific open days TBD)
  • Location: EaDo (East Downtown), Houston, TX
  • Admission: Free (VIP hospitality available)
  • Official Fan Festival Info

Houston’s festival is going into EaDo — East Downtown — a walkable, multicultural neighborhood with an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and local businesses. The concept here goes beyond a standard fan zone. Houston is branding a major component of the festival around “Football Fiesta Houston,” a nod to East Houston’s deep roots in the Hispanic community, with the intention of pushing fan programming beyond the festival fences and into the broader EaDo neighborhood. Nearby businesses are expected to participate in official programming, making the surrounding area part of the experience.

The festival will broadcast every World Cup match, feature global food vendors, live entertainment, VIP hospitality options, and youth soccer activations. There is also a community legacy component — beautification projects, art installations, tree plantings, and sidewalk improvements are being built into the plan.

Kansas City Fan Fest

National WWI Museum and Memorial

Kansas City has one of the most detailed and well-organized fan festival rollouts in the entire tournament. The venue alone is worth noting — the south lawn of the National World War I Museum and Memorial, one of KC’s most recognizable landmarks, with sweeping views of the downtown skyline. They are calling it “Kansas City’s Front Porch,” which is about as on-brand as it gets.

The festival runs 18 days across the tournament with a specific schedule already published. Admission is free, but here is the notable wrinkle: Kansas City requires all attendees to register in advance and obtain a free digital pass. Capacity is capped at 25,000. The pass is required for entry but does not guarantee admission — entry remains subject to capacity limits on the day. If you want guaranteed entry, premium passes will also be available for purchase.

The physical setup is impressive — a 65-foot heart-shaped entrance called the KC Heart Gateway, a 45×25-foot main stage video board, a secondary stage, and ConnectKC26 direct bus service from around the metro.

All World Cup matches during operating hours will be shown.

New York / New Jersey

  • Dates: Fan Zone Queens: June 17-28; Fan Village Rockefeller: July 4-19
  • Locations: USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (Queens, NY); Rockefeller Center (Midtown Manhattan, NY)
  • Official Fan Experiences Page

The NY/NJ setup is unique in that there is no single central Fan Festival venue. The original planned event for Liberty Park was canceled. Instead, the host committee is running different fan experiences at different points in the tournament.

Fan Zone Queens at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (June 17-28): Produced by Live Nation at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens. This is being positioned as the flagship fan destination for the region during the group stage — immersive, community-focused, and built to serve the incredibly diverse fan base that turns out for the World Cup in New York.

Fan Village at Rockefeller Center (July 4-19): Hosted in partnership with Telemundo, spanning the entire three-block Rockefeller Center campus including Top of the Rock. The iconic skating rink transforms into a football pitch surrounded by giant screens for live match broadcasts. Runs through the final on July 19.

Additional fan zones and pop-ups across the region will be announced as the tournament approaches.

Philadelphia

FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill, Fairmount Park

  • Dates: June 11 — July 19, 2026 (39 days)
  • Location: Lemon Hill, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA
  • Admission: Free (general admission all days); non-match day concerts are separately ticketed
  • Official Fan Festival Info

Philadelphia is going all out and staging one of the largest fan festivals in North America. The 39-day festival at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park covers the full tournament window from June 11 through July 19, spans more than a million square feet, and is expected to draw around 15,000 attendees per day.

General admission to the festival is completely free on all days — no tickets, no financial barriers. On match days, fans can expect watch parties, food and beverage, world-class entertainment, and fan activations. On non-match days, the programming shifts to separately ticketed concert experiences. Two things working in your favor logistically: organizers strongly discourage driving and the city is expanding SEPTA service specifically for the festival, including an added stop at Fairmount Park on the Philly Flash transit program.

The location is also a legacy play. When the festival ends, the city moves immediately into Phase Two — permanent improvements to Fairmount Park including new sidewalks, ADA accessible pathways, and infrastructure upgrades that will outlast the tournament.

Philadelphia is also leaning into the fact that 2026 coincides with America’s 250th anniversary and the city’s central role in that history. This one is going to have an energy all its own.

San Francisco Bay Area

BAHC Live! Fan Zones

The SF Bay Area is not running a single central Fan Festival in the same way as most host cities. Instead, the Bay Area Host Committee is producing distributed fan zones across the region — “BAHC Live! Fan Zones” — bringing match broadcasts, live entertainment, international food, and sponsor activations to multiple locations. The goal is to make sure fans across the entire Bay Area can participate without traveling to a single central point. Local watch parties and neighborhood events will also be encouraged throughout the tournament.

Specific venues, dates, and programming details are being finalized. Check the official site for updates as they are released.

Seattle Fan Zones

Fan Zones Across Washington

  • Dates: Full tournament window
  • Locations: Nine fan zone sites across Washington State (see full list at official page)
  • Admission: Free
  • Official Fan Zones Info

Seattle is taking a different approach and scaling back their original plans for a Fan Fest. Rather than a central Fan Festival, Seattle FWC26 has partnered with nine communities across Washington State to create official fan zones — meaning the World Cup experience extends well beyond Seattle itself.

The nine official fan zone locations are: Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Olympia-Lacey, Puyallup Tribe/Tacoma, Spokane, Tri-Cities (Pasco), Vancouver WA, and Yakima. Each has its own venue and local organizer. For fans attending matches at Seattle Stadium, this means you have options spread across the state to catch games you are not attending in person.

Seattle also launched an interactive mobile app called SEA&WIN — a geo-linked, rewards-based game that guides fans to key locations and earns World Cup prizes.

The festival theme is “The World in the City,” which fits Toronto’s reputation as one of the most diverse cities on the planet.

Vancouver Fan Fest

Hastings Park (PNE Grounds)

Vancouver has one of the most fully built-out fan festival setups in the entire tournament. The festival runs June 11 through July 19 at the historic PNE grounds in Hastings Park — a venue that has been a gathering place for Vancouverites for over a century — and includes a brand-new 10,000-capacity amphitheatre built specifically for this event.

General admission is free. Vancouver has also built out a paid premium tier worth knowing about: a premium experience guarantees access to the amphitheatre’s reserved seated area with prime views of the main stage, live match broadcasts, headline performances, and fast-track entry. Group hosting spaces for up to 36 guests — combinable for larger parties — are also available inside the amphitheatre, with curated food and beverage packages and a dedicated home base for your group.

The entertainment lineup features Canadian and global artists. The festival is also notable for its emphasis on sustainability as a core design element, not an afterthought. Family-friendly programming includes kids’ soccer activities and obstacle courses.

The Zocalo

  • Dates: Full tournament window (specific dates TBD)
  • Location: Zocalo, Centro Historico, Mexico City
  • Admission: Free
  • Official Fan Festival Info

Mexico City is staging its fan festival at the Zocalo — one of the largest and most iconic public squares in the world. It is about as fitting a venue as you could choose for a city hosting five World Cup matches, including the tournament opener.

Confirmed programming includes live match broadcasts on large screens, a concert area, sports activations, and an immersive exhibition themed around the ancient Mesoamerican ball game — a detail that is distinctly Mexico City in the best possible way. Beyond the Zocalo itself, all 16 of Mexico City’s municipalities will have designated viewing spaces and cultural programming, making this the most geographically widespread fan experience of any host city in the tournament.

Specific dates, hours, and additional programming details are being announced as the tournament approaches.
