Full Match Schedule
The draw occurred on April 1 with many tantalizing matchups but the weird part of the experience was not knowing the actual games that everyone from Phase 1 and Phase 2.a ticket sales received. Typically, the stadiums and games are assigned before the draw which adds to the excitement as the balls are drawn out of the bowl. This year however; there was another level of anxiety and unknown as FIFA didn’t even inform fans on WHEN the stadiums and games would be assigned.
Fortunately, the wait is OVER! See below for the link to the new, updated official schedule!
Phase 2.b Ticket Sales Announced!
Similar to the stadium and game assignments, FIFA provided zero information on exactly WHEN the next ticket sales phase would be begin…and similar to the stadium and game assignments, the wait is over!
When Does Phase 2.b Start?
Starts: April 5th, 2022 at 12:00pm Doha Time (11:00 CEST)
Ends: April 28th, 2022 at 12:00pm Doha Time (11:00 CEST)
What is Phase 2.b? Do I Need to Be the First In Line to Request?
This phase is a Random Lottery Phase!
Meaning – you do NOT need to be the first in line to request tickets. It is similar to the first phase of ticket sales where you have an equal chance (in theory) of receiving tickets whether you are the first person to do so on April 5th or last person to do so on April 28th!

When do we find out about tickets and make payment for Phase 2.b?
On May 31, you can check your ticket application to see your status. This also means that the payment period will not start earlier than May 31.
Everyone “will receive an email communication from the FIFA Ticketing Centre with further information about payment, including the steps to follow and the deadline to pay for your tickets.”

I Got 4 tickets on phase 1 random draw and 4 tickets during the first come first served sale. I usually choose the largest stadium so that I get Pot 1 teams. I have: England vs. Iran, Argentina v. Saudi Arabia, Croatia v. Morocco, Serbia v. Brazil, Netherlands v. Ecuador, Argentina vs. Mexico, Spain vs. Germany, Portugal V. Uruguay. I applied for three more tickets during the Phase 2 random draw: Mexico v. Poland, Belgium v. Canada, and Mexico v. Saudi Arabia.
Wow! That’s amazing 🤩 and also – intelligent plan on tickets! Congrats on your success thus far! Did you see that the Argentina vs Mexico game is the most in demand game aside from the final? You have some incredible matches.
Do you think this world cup Fifa will use mobile tickets or paper tickets as always?
Hi Nick! I tried to do some research on this but can’t find any definitive paper vs mobile. All that FIFA has stated right now is that they’ll announce the “delivery method” of the tickets in “due time”. Mobile only is likely on the horizon but no one knows yet. If it is mobile only, it’d be really cool if you could get paper tickets mailed for collector’s gift. Honestly, that’d be great for past tournaments as the paper tickets get ruined after carrying them around all day.
Hi Nick – it does seem like these will be mobile tickets as this is the language on the site. We will also update the articles on our site:
“All successful ticket applicants who have purchased tickets online at FIFA.com/tickets during Sales Phase (1), Sales Phase (2) and Last Minutes Sales phases will have their tickets delivered as mobile tickets. Please note that if you are a holder of tickets for several matches at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, tickets may be delivered to you at different times.
Once the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ mobile ticket application is ready to be downloaded, we will give you all the details to learn your way through it, send tickets to your guests and access the stadium on a match day, among other functionalities. The mobile ticketing application is free to download.
FIFA Ticketing will announce when and how your tickets will be delivered in due course. This information will be communicated at FIFA.com/tickets.”
